

She died of Yellow fever on their way to Texas near Brownstown, Siever Co., Arkansas He served in the Confederate Army as a Corporal Surgeon, Co.G Texas Infantry. Wiley married Mary Lipscomb in 1858 and had one child, John Lipscomb Medearis. The entire county of which, was his Grandfather's Land Grant for service during the Revolutionary War. Wiley Woodward Medearis, son of George Washington Davis Medearis and his wife Elizabeth Woodward was born in Marshall County Tennessee. At the time of his death he was living in Austin, Travis Co., at his sons home. He married secondly Kate Smith and had several children.
